Riteish Deshmukh Pushes Away Young Fan As He Tries To Get Selfie, Internet Reacts Angrily

Last Updated: At the premiere of Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, Riteish Deshmukh was seen pushing away a young fan attempting a selfie. At the recent premiere of Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, a video of actor Riteish Deshmukh left fans surprised — and not in a good way. Riteish, who is often praised alongside wife Genelia D'Souza for being kind and approachable, was seen pushing away a young fan who tried to take a selfie with the couple. In the clip that is going viral online now, Riteish is seen holding Genelia's hand and guiding her through a crowd towards the screening venue. A young boy in the crowd steps forward with his phone to click a selfie. However, Riteish is seen pushing the boy's hand down and walking away without acknowledging him. The child appears visibly disappointed. Take a look at the video below: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sanjay Tiwari (@bollywoodhelpline) The moment quickly went viral on social media, with many users calling out the actor. Several social media users expressed disappointment over Riteish Deshmukh's behaviour in the viral video. 'First time mujhe Ritesh ka attitude pasand nhi aaya (For the first time, I didn't like Riteish's attitude)," one person commented. Another added, 'Not expected from Ritesh. Very wrong attitude. Sorry, unfollowing you now." One user even tagged the actor directly and wrote, 'Imagine his parents had sent him to take a photo with you. The kid came politely to take a selfie — what was wrong with that? Stay humble bhai, you won't lose anything." Others called the gesture 'rude" and 'disappointing," with one message reading, 'That was incredibly rude. Are these your true colours? Your facial expressions and attitude say a lot — and not in a good way. I expected a grown man to show more self-control and maturity. It wouldn't hurt to stay grounded and respectful." Riteish Deshmukh was last seen in Housefull 5, where he reunited with Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and an ensemble cast for the latest installment of the popular comedy franchise. Meanwhile, his wife Genelia D'Souza returned to the big screen with Sitaare Zameen Par, which hit theatres this Friday. The film features her opposite Aamir Khan. Riteish Deshmukh had earlier showered high praise on Sitaare Zameen Par, which released in theatres on 20th June. He called it the 'best film of the year', and said that it leaves you a better human being. He praised Aamir, praising his 'incredibly nuanced' performance. Riteish also showered praise on his wife Genelia Deshmukh, saying that she is 'pure magic' on screen, and that he is a genuine fan of her craft. However, he said that the 'true' sitaare of this film are the children who stole the show with their phenomenal performances. First Published:

IND vs ENG, Leeds Weather Live Updates: Will Rain Disrupt Day 3?

India vs England, Leeds Weather Today Live Updates: After India's dominance on the opening day, the second afternoon was a hard-fought battle. India's ace Jasprit Bumrah showcased his remarkable skills following Rishabh Pant's daring century. Still, England's batters, led by centurion Ollie Pope, had an impressive performance to reach 209 for three, after their bowlers did well to bring the visitors down to 471/10 from 430/3 in the first session. Pope (100 not out) and Harry Brook (0) were at the crease when play ended, with England reducing India's lead to 262. There was a significant spell of rain to interrupt things, too. During the second session, the start of England's innings was interrupted by showers and light storms. The forecast is for something similar on Day 3, but closer to the third session. Stick with us to catch all the updates!

England Teammate On Ollie Pope Hundred: 'Had Goosebumps When He Got His 100...'

Last Updated: Ollie Pope's century against India at Headingley justified his selection at number three for England. The only position really up for debate as England headed into a crucial run of Tests under captain Ben Stokes and coach Brendon McCullum was number three, but Ollie Pope's century against India justified the faith shown in him. After England had pulled themselves back into the first test against India at Headingley, they needed to maintain the momentum in their reply to India's first-innings 471. The world's highest-ranked test bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, removed Zak Crawley in the first over, bringing Pope to the crease. Selected at number three ahead of the emerging talent of Jacob Bethell, who averaged 52 on his first test tour of New Zealand, Pope settled after early scares to compile his ninth test century. The unbeaten hundred helped England close day two on 209/3. They had looked set to start the series on a losing note, with India at 430/3 before lunch. 'I just think he was so calm," said England opener Ben Duckett, who added 122 with Pope for the second wicket. 'He couldn't walk out in tougher conditions. 'I had goosebumps when he got his 100. He is such a big part of the dressing room. I take my hat off to him. I can't wait to give him a hug. 'It seems pretty clear to me, coming into this test match, if someone scores 170 in the match before, they are going to play. The way Popey has dealt with it all shows why he is England's number three." The doubts surrounding Pope revolve around inconsistency. He averages less than 16 against Australia, and below 25 when facing India before his Headingley performance. Following his 171 against Zimbabwe with another century when his country needed him most, England's selectors will be feeling comfortable in their decision to select Pope ahead of the precocious Bethell. Sourav Ganguly Open To Coaching Team India: 'Never Really Thought About It...'

Last Updated: Sourav Ganguly, former Indian cricket captain, is open to coaching the Indian men's team. Arguably, one of India's best-ever captains, Sourav Ganguly, is open to the idea of coaching the Indian men's cricket team. Ganguly, who will turn 53 this July, served as the Team Director of Delhi Capitals from 2018-19 to 2022-24. 'I never really thought about it because I got into different roles," Ganguly was quoted as saying by PTI when asked if he would like to coach the Indian team. 'I finished (competitive cricket) in 2013 and then became Board (BCCI) president," Ganguly noted, highlighting that his biggest contribution in that role was promoting women's cricket. When asked if he could have contributed more by becoming India's coach, Ganguly said: 'We'll see what the future holds. I'm just 50 (53), so let's see what happens. I'm open to it. We'll see where it goes." Ganguly praised incumbent coach Gautam Gambhir, noting his progress since the Champions Trophy victory in Dubai earlier this year. 'Gautam (Gambhir) is doing a good job. He started off a little slow, losing to Australia and New Zealand, but he picked up with the Champions Trophy. This is going to be a big series (vs England)," Ganguly said. When asked about Gambhir's tactical acumen, Ganguly praised his passion and straightforward nature. 'I haven't seen him from very close in this role, but I know he is very passionate. I haven't observed his strategies closely because I haven't worked with him as a coach. 'He's very straightforward, he sees things clearly, and he's very open about what he feels, about the team, players, people, everything. From the outside, you can tell he's a very transparent person – what you see is what you get." Ganguly recalled his playing days, noting Gambhir's respect for senior players. 'I've played with him. He was a great guy with a lot of respect for me and the senior players. Even now, I can see he is extremely passionate about his job." Ganguly also believes Gambhir should be given time to grow as a coach and learn over time. 'I wish him all the best. He's just a year into the job, and this will be an important (England) tour. He struggled a bit in Australia, but just like everyone else, he'll learn, he'll grow, and he'll become better," Ganguly added.
